Jonny is an energetic, professional swim coach from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jonny has coached professionally for the best team in Pennsylvania, as well as for the best team in Texas. As the creator of one of the largest swimming YouTube channels on the internet, Jonny brings his unique skills and creativity to River Place.
He swam competitively for 17 years. He began coaching at age 15 and has never looked back. He’s coached five teams to be league champions, as well as several olympic trials qualifiers. His passion is swimming, technology, kids, and God.
Abby Naden is a sophomore at Vandegrift HS. She is on the Vandegrift Varsity swim team & the Austin Swim Club Team. She has been swimming competitively for 8 years and swam for the Rapids for 6 years. She loves swimming, any type of art, and hanging out with her family, friends, & dog. She’s super excited to be coaching this season!
Julia Roberto is an incoming sophomore studying business honors at the University of Texas at Austin. She swam competitively for 12 years and was a part of the Vandegrift High School Varsity swim team as well. She began teaching swim lessons when she was 15 and started coaching for Rapids in the summer of 2019. When she’s not at the country club, Julia can be found trying new workout classes, going to coffee shops, or going on road trips with her friends.
Sarah Devaney was a competitive swimmer for 8 years. Her favorite strokes are freestyle and breaststroke. You may have seen her on the pool deck at the River Place Country Club as a lifeguard and a private swim instructor for the past two summers. She loves playing sports, the outdoors, eating donuts, animals, country music and being around awesome kids!
Aaron Kalivas swam competitively for 10 years and was varsity co-caption for 2 years at Broken Arrow high school. Aaron was involved in swim lessons, country club, and ymca club as a coach before graduating from from high school in Oklahoma. Aaron is also a University of Oklahoma graduate with a bachelor’s in Accounting.
