Special Awards
We give out many awards each year to our swimmers. These are a few:
1. 5 Year Plus Award--each year a Rapids swimmer swims for a 5th year and every year after that.
2. Most improved
3. High points
4. Coach's Awards

Dunnovan Healy was a swimmer for multiple years and a multi-year all-star qualifier for the River Place Rapids Swim Team. After an amazing swim season in 2016 and an all-star run that summer, at age 10, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He passed away in the fall of 2017 after the Rapids dedicated the 2017 season to him. This award will be given to 1 swimmer a year: to a swimmer who has shown courage facing challenges or goals and shown love and compassion for his or her teammates.
